- enCore Energy (EU, Financial) achieves record well installation rate at Alta Mesa Uranium Project.
- Implementation of PathCAD™ software enhances operational efficiency.
- Dain McCoig promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations.
enCore Energy Corp. (EU) has recorded a significant milestone in the development of its Alta Mesa Uranium Central Processing Plant, achieving an unprecedented well installation rate of under two days per well. The company completed the installation of 32 wells, comprising 15 extractors and 17 injectors, with plans to deliver uranium-bearing solution to the central processing plant by April 23, 2025.
A notable advancement includes the adoption of PathCAD™ wellfield simulation and design software, which is anticipated to enhance management efficiency and optimize uranium extraction processes. This strategic initiative is expected to streamline wellfield operations and improve uranium recovery by utilizing sophisticated modeling of wellfield flow dynamics.
As part of its operational strategy, enCore Energy has redesignated Wellfield 8 as Wellfield 3-Ext. This change is based on new delineation drilling findings that connect the uranium mineralization within the same ore horizon as the former Wellfield 3. This move is projected to reduce permitting timelines and installation costs, while enabling the recovery of uranium resources previously inaccessible.
In leadership developments, enCore Energy has promoted Dain McCoig to Senior Vice President of Operations. Since joining enCore in June 2023, McCoig has been instrumental in the successful restart of both the Rosita and Alta Mesa Central Processing Plants.
