American Pacific Mining Corp (CSE: USGD) (OTCQX: USGDF) has commenced a comprehensive 3,000-metre drill program at the Madison Copper-Gold Project located in Silver Star, Montana. This initiative targets five strategic areas with an emphasis on porphyry concepts and skarn extensions, aiming to identify new opportunities in previously unexplored regions.

The exploration includes drilling around the Broadway mine area, a site historically known for producing 144,000 ounces of gold from surface oxide mineralization between 1880 and 1950. This campaign is significant as no drilling activities have taken place since the 1950s, and it aims to explore untested sulfide mineralization and shallow discovery targets originally deemed uneconomic.

The program's strategic focus involves utilizing the Silverstar Fault Complex and Induced Polarization surveys to guide drilling efforts. Among the key objectives are four drill holes targeting two potential porphyry areas: one under the historic Madison Mine and another regional target to the southwest. The contact zone between Madison limestone and quartz monzonite intrusive, a promising site for high-grade copper-gold values in surface sampling, remains a focal point of this exploration.

Eric Saderholm, Managing Director of Exploration and Qualified Person for the project, underscored the drill campaign's meticulous planning and expected contribution to revealing the site’s potential as a district-scale copper-gold system. With the combination of historical data and new technologies, American Pacific aims to expand its understanding of the mineralization at Madison.

American Pacific Mining Corp continues to adhere to high standards of sampling and analysis to ensure project accuracy and reliability, employing diverse methods including Aqua Regia digestion and fire assay for precise gold and silver analysis.
