- Gladiator Metals (GDTRF, Financial) reports significant high-grade copper intersections at Cowley Park.
- The discovery of a previously unknown high-grade gold zone enhances the site's mineral potential.
- The mineralization remains open, presenting opportunities for future exploration and expansion.
Gladiator Metals Corp (GDTRF) has announced assay results from the first four holes of its phase 1 drill program at Cowley Park, displaying significant high-grade copper and gold findings. The drilling has revealed that hole CPG-065 returned 41.9 meters at 1.66% copper, including 14 meters at 3.39% copper. Similarly, hole CPG-065D3 yielded 66 meters at 1.01% copper with a notable section of 13.6 meters at 3.00% copper.
The drilling campaign has also uncovered a previously unrecognized high-grade gold zone in hole CPG-065D3, which returned 5.70 meters at 8.18 grams per ton of gold from a shallow depth of 10.3 meters. This discovery suggests a new style of mineralization within the Cowley Park area.
This initial phase is part of Gladiator Metals' extensive 29,000-meter drilling campaign targeting high-grade copper skarns throughout the Whitehorse Copper Belt, aiming for completion before the fourth quarter of 2025. The high-grade copper mineralization has shown continuity over a strike length of more than 200 meters and extends to a depth of over 200 meters, remaining open in all directions. This opens up potential for future exploration and resource expansion at the site.
These findings underscore the high-grade resource potential at Cowley Park and highlight the project's significance in Gladiator Metals’ wider exploration strategy. The company is eagerly anticipating further results from the ongoing drilling program, which are expected in the coming weeks.
