Chevron Corporation (CVX, Financial) is currently performing scheduled maintenance at its Wheatstone natural gas facility in Australia. This maintenance has temporarily reduced the production rate of the LNG Train 1. According to a company spokesperson, the annual service activities are expected to be completed within the next week. The maintenance work has not impacted domestic gas production.
The Wheatstone facility, operated by Chevron, comprises two LNG trains with a combined annual export capacity of 8.9 million tonnes and includes a domestic gas plant.
