Thoma Bravo, a technology-focused acquisition firm, is in advanced negotiations to acquire Boeing's Jeppesen navigation unit. This move aligns with Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg's strategy to streamline operations and reduce debt by selling non-core assets. The deal is expected to be announced soon.

Last month, Jeppesen, a provider of navigation products and software, attracted interest from several private equity firms and at least one aerospace supplier. The final bids for Jeppesen are estimated to be between $8 billion and $9 billion, significantly higher than the initial target price of over $6 billion set by Boeing when the auction began last year. The strong interest from potential buyers has driven up the valuation.
