SPOKANE, Wash., April 21, 2025 – In the first quarter of 2025, the Avista Foundation announced the distribution of $316,250 in grants to support health and human services across five states: Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Alaska, and Montana. This funding was allocated to 58 nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing community welfare.
Significant allocations included a $60,000 grant to the Upper Columbia Resource Conservation and Development District and $50,000 to the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation. Additionally, Cancer Can't received $20,000 to bolster its healthcare initiatives.
Avista Foundation President and CEO Heather Rosentrater commented, "Everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a healthy life. These community partners are working to make that possible by offering essential support, from healthcare to social services, helping people overcome challenges and live well."
