FirstEnergy Corp. (FE) has announced the appointment of four key executives to strengthen its leadership in transmission business and regional operations in West Virginia/Maryland and New Jersey. The appointments, effective April 21, 2025, align with the company's commitment to enhancing system investments and elevating customer experience at the local level.

Satvir Deol has been named Vice President of Transmission Operations, where he will oversee transmission line and substation operations, ensuring reliable and efficient energy delivery systems. Prior to joining FirstEnergy, Deol served at DTE Energy and holds a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Don McGettigan has been appointed as Vice President of West Virginia/Maryland Operations. McGettigan, who has been with FirstEnergy for nearly four decades, will be responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of electricity while adhering to financial objectives and regulatory compliance. He holds a Master of Business Administration from West Virginia University.

Pat Mullin takes on the role of Vice President of New Jersey Operations. Previously the Vice President of Ohio Operations, Mullin will manage the delivery of electricity to New Jersey customers, develop operational plans, manage financial performance, and implement regulatory strategies. She brings decades of experience from various leadership roles within FirstEnergy to her new position.

Chris Beam has been named Vice President of Generation Project Development. Beam will lead strategy and planning for large-scale power projects, including renewable and conventional energy developments. With a robust background from American Electric Power (AEP), Beam aims to expand Mon Power and Potomac Edison's generation portfolio.

Wade Smith, President of FirstEnergy Utilities, remarked on the appointments, stating, "With this new group of executives, FirstEnergy continues to strengthen our leadership team to ensure long-term success. Their track records will help execute our investment plan to improve reliability while enhancing the customer experience."

FirstEnergy serves over 6 million customers across Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, Maryland, and New York, with its transmission subsidiaries operating approximately 24,000 miles of transmission lines connecting the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
