- Spanish Mountain Gold (SPAUF, Financial) reports significant high-grade gold intercepts in its 2025 winter drill program.
- The Slipper Zone mineralization has expanded 320 meters northwest of previous resource outlines.
- New near-surface gold mineralization was discovered in the Outcropping Tuff target.
Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. (SPAUF) has released promising results from its 2025 winter exploration diamond drill program at the Spanish Mountain Gold project located in British Columbia's Cariboo Gold Corridor. The program has identified multiple areas of near-surface and high-grade gold mineralization across several zones.
In the Main Zone, the standout hole 25-DH-1281 revealed a notable intercept of 123.00 meters grading 1.08 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including high-grade sections reaching up to 24.56 g/t gold. This development underscores the potential for higher-grade mineralization over extended intervals within this zone.
At the Outcropping Tuff target, hole 25-DH-1275 presented promising results with an intersection of 62.20 meters grading 0.60 g/t gold. This includes a high-grade section that reached up to 10.49 g/t gold, indicating a new near-surface mineralization area.
Another area of interest, the Phoenix target, showed extensive mineralization. Hole 25-CCR-050 delivered an impressive intercept of 246.50 meters grading 0.38 g/t gold, with some high-grade segments, showcasing the potential for large-scale mineralization near the surface.
In the Slipper Zone, exploratory drilling has successfully extended the known gold mineralization by 320 meters northwest beyond the 2021 resource pit outline. Drill hole 25-DH-1279 intersected 78.00 meters grading 0.31 g/t gold, further confirming the area's potential.
Peter Mah, President & CEO of Spanish Mountain Gold, expressed optimism about these initial results, emphasizing the growth potential for increasing near-surface and high-grade gold resources beyond the 2021 pit-constrained resource. The company aims to advance towards a build decision by 2027, supported by these promising findings.
