Concentra (CON), the largest provider of occupational health services in the United States, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Pivot Onsite Innovations from Athletico Physical Therapy for $55 million. This strategic acquisition will expand Concentra's onsite health segment by more than doubling its current operations, adding over 200 employer-based health clinics to its existing 150, resulting in a total of approximately 350 clinics across more than 40 states.
Key executives from Pivot Onsite Innovations, including founder Dr. Lawrence J. Goren, will transition to Concentra Onsite Health, ensuring continuity and leveraging their expertise to integrate the two operations effectively. The acquisition will allow Concentra to enhance its service offerings in occupational health, wellness, and prevention, meeting the growing demand for workplace health solutions.
The transaction, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to conclude in the second quarter of 2025. It will be financed through Concentra's cash reserves and existing credit facilities, demonstrating the company's solid financial strategy and capacity to support its expansion efforts. This merger aligns with Concentra's mission to improve the health of America's workforce, serving approximately 50,000 patients daily in 45 states.
