Hesai Group (HSAI) has officially unveiled its latest lidar innovation, the "Infinity Eye" solution, tailored for autonomous driving systems spanning Levels 2 through 4. This groundbreaking system is organized into three configurations: Infinity Eye A, B, and C, each featuring next-generation lidar products designed for various autonomous driving applications.
Infinity Eye A is optimized for L4 autonomous driving, providing 360° coverage through the integration of four ultra-high-definition AT1440 lidars alongside four solid-state FTX lidars. This configuration is particularly suited for applications such as robotaxis and robotrucks, offering both long-range and short-range detection capabilities.
Infinity Eye B, intended for L3 autonomous systems, combines the ETX lidar—known for its 400-meter range and 8x resolution improvements—with two FTX lidars to ensure comprehensive perception. This setup is optimized for scenarios requiring the vehicle to maintain control with the option for human intervention when necessary.
The third configuration, Infinity Eye C, caters to L2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), utilizing the ATX lidar's 200-meter range and 256 channels. Its ultra-compact design and low power consumption allow for versatile integration within various vehicle models.
Hesai's strategic market positioning is reinforced by the ATX lidar, which boasts adoption by 11 major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and has already seen over 50,000 units delivered. The company anticipates delivering between 1.2 and 1.5 million lidar units in 2025, further supported by its impressive annual production capacity of 2 million units.
This advancement follows Hesai's commitment to enhancing the efficiency and scalability of lidar technology, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation within the autonomous driving and robotics sectors.
