Ainos, Inc. (AIMD, Financial) has made a significant advancement in robotics by installing its proprietary AINose olfaction module on a humanoid robot developed in collaboration with the company ugo. This installation, completed on April 9, represents the first ever incorporation of a functional sense of smell into a robot, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of robotics, artificial intelligence, and human-machine interaction.

Following this groundbreaking achievement, Ainos and ugo are entering a crucial development phase aimed at enhancing the integration of this technology. Key elements of this phase include designing a user interface, integrating backend control systems, tuning sensory parameters, and refining response logic. This work is anticipated to be completed within two to four weeks.

Upon completion, the system will be tested in real-world environments such as commercial buildings and public spaces. These deployment tests will focus on demonstrating real-time odor detection, safety alerts, and collecting live data to enhance deep learning and AI model development.
