Charles Schwab (SCHW), a leader in investment services, has announced the extension of its partnership with the National 4-H Council to advance financial literacy education among American youth. Originally launched in 2019, this collaboration aims to empower nearly six million young participants annually through an enhanced Smart Cents program.

The extended partnership focuses on several key initiatives designed to expand the reach and effectiveness of financial education. The Smart Cents program will see enhancements to 4-H's national online platform, CLOVER, by integrating it with new teaching resources and educator tools. This strategic move is expected to increase educator engagement and student participation in financial literacy activities.

Additionally, the program will develop three new activities centered on entrepreneurship and personal finance to better prepare youth for real-world financial challenges. Charles Schwab (SCHW, Financial) is also committed to providing professional development opportunities for up to 500 educators, thereby improving financial literacy outcomes among young people.

As a critical component of this partnership, six new personal finance courses and a mobile app will be introduced to offer interactive learning experiences. The mobile app will serve as a vital resource for educators, parents, and youth for accessing financial education materials.

According to a youth survey conducted by 4-H, 41% of teens express a desire to learn more about managing their money, highlighting the importance of initiatives like this in bridging the gap in financial literacy education. Jill Bramble, President and CEO of the National 4-H Council, emphasized the impact of additional training for educators in reaching more youth.

This partnership demonstrates Charles Schwab's commitment to improving financial literacy across the United States, supporting the education system with resources to empower future generations with essential money management skills.
