This project, which represents a $160 million investment, began commercial operations in November 2024 and is capable of powering approximately 20,500 homes annually.
The Bayou Galion Solar project marks Recurrent Energy's first commercial venture in the state of Louisiana. By the end of 2024, the cumulative solar investments in Louisiana surpassed $2 billion, signifying substantial growth driven by increasing electricity demands from regional industries and data centers.
MUFG acted as the Coordinating Lead Arranger for the project financing, while Primoris Renewables Energy completed the construction with support from local vendors.
