This addition increases the company's total store count in Canada to 196, with 85 of these situated in Alberta. The store began operations on April 20, 2025, strategically positioned in a high-traffic commercial plaza serving approximately 8,000 residents. Notably, it faces no nearby cannabis retail competition, enhancing its market potential.
Beyond its Canadian operations, High Tide is focusing on entering the German medical cannabis market. The company is in the process of negotiating with multiple potential partners, intending to leverage its extensive experience and $1.7 billion in Canadian cannabis sales since 2018. This strategic move aims to establish High Tide as a significant importer and distributor in Germany, where the 2024 import volume of dried cannabis flower for medical use exceeded 70 tons, more than doubling from the previous year.
