DHL Express Temporarily Suspends High-Value Shipments to U.S. Due to Customs Policy Changes

DHL Express has announced a temporary suspension of shipments exceeding $800 in value to individual consumers in the United States. This decision is in response to recent changes in U.S. customs regulations, which now require formal entry processing for all shipments over $800. Previously, the threshold was set at $2,500 until a policy adjustment on April 5.

Despite the suspension affecting business-to-consumer (B2C) shipments, business-to-business (B2B) shipments will continue, although they may experience delays. Shipments valued under $800, whether sent to businesses or consumers, will not be impacted by these regulatory changes.

The company has clarified that this suspension is a temporary measure to adapt to the new customs requirements.
