Marcus & Millichap (MMI, Financial) has announced the appointment of Andrew Leahy as the senior vice president and national director of its Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) multifamily division. Leahy, who has over 20 years of experience in institutional multifamily investment, has managed transactions exceeding $6 billion throughout his career. His new role will involve leading IPA advisory teams across North America, focusing on enhancing services and extending market reach.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Leahy held leadership roles at Elme Communities (ELME) and The Rockefeller Group, where he was instrumental in managing acquisitions for private equity investors on both domestic and international fronts. He began his illustrious career at The Blackstone Group, gaining valuable insights into the real estate investment landscape.

Marcus & Millichap has reported a robust performance in 2024, closing 7,836 transactions with a sales volume of approximately $49.6 billion. The firm's extensive network includes 1,712 investment sales and financing professionals spanning more than 80 offices across North America. According to Marcus & Millichap's President and CEO, Hessam Nadji, Leahy's addition is expected to further enhance the company's market intelligence, deal flow, and transaction execution capabilities.
