Infosys (INFY), a global leader in digital services, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire MRE Consulting, a Houston-based technology and business consulting firm specializing in Energy/Commodity Trading and Risk Management (E/CTRM). This strategic acquisition aims to bolster Infosys' capabilities in trading and risk management in the energy sector.

MRE Consulting will bring a team of over 200 professionals with deep industry knowledge and experience in E/CTRM platforms. Additionally, MRE's proprietary business process frameworks will enhance Infosys' ability to serve energy clients by accelerating vendor selection, solution design, and implementation across multiple commodities and transportation modes.

The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, ending June 30, 2025, pending customary closing conditions.
