FuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO), a prominent sports-first live TV streaming platform, has confirmed a multi-year renewal agreement securing exclusive broadcasting rights for the Premier League in Canada. The deal, which starts with the 2025/2026 season, will provide Fubo the rights to stream all 380 Premier League matches and related programming.
Having initially acquired exclusive rights ahead of the 2022/2023 season, this latest renewal solidifies Fubo's dominance as Canada’s premier soccer streaming destination. Fubo already offers exclusive streaming for Italian Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana matches, in addition to content from Ligue 1, Canadian national teams, the Canadian Premier League, and Copa Libertadores.
Subscribers in Canada can access Fubo's streaming services on a wide range of devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, Hisense, iOS, LG TV, Roku, Samsung, and Xbox One. Despite the announcement, the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Fubo's strategic content acquisition maintains its competitive edge in exclusive sports streaming, crucial for capturing a dedicated audience and potential subscriber growth despite rising sports rights costs. This approach secures a stable content lineup through at least 2028, alleviating investor concerns over content acquisition risks.
