UK semiconductor manufacturer Alphawave IP Group announced that it is unable to provide financial forecasts for 2025 and beyond due to uncertainties arising from the "rapidly evolving nature" of U.S. tariffs. Alphawave specializes in designing and licensing chip technology for data centers, networks, and storage solutions. The company reported a 34% surge in new orders for the fiscal year 2024, reaching $515.5 million.
Earlier this month, U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm expressed interest in acquiring Alphawave. This potential acquisition highlights the strategic importance of Alphawave's technology in the semiconductor industry, especially amid ongoing trade uncertainties.
