The report underscores Ivanhoe’s dedication to sustainable mining practices and its alignment with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Significant milestones include improvements in safety metrics, with a reduced Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) of 0.89 and a Lost-Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) of 0.33. These figures are notably below the International Council on Mining and Metals' (ICMM) 2023 industry average of 2.59.
The company reports a substantial economic impact, generating and distributing a total of $5 billion in value throughout 2024. This includes $1 billion paid in government taxes and royalties, emphasizing Ivanhoe Mines' role in supporting local and national economies.
