Hyundai (HYMTF, Financial) has made a significant impact at the New York International Auto Show with the debut of its all-new 2026 Palisade SUV. Building on a 23% year-over-year increase in 2024 sales, the new model boasts a range of enhancements designed to appeal to a broad audience.
The 2026 Palisade features a new 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain, delivering an estimated 329 horsepower and a maximum driving range of up to 619 miles. Additionally, a new 3.5-liter V6 internal combustion engine provides up to 287 horsepower and a towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. The vehicle’s dimensions have increased, with a 2.5-inch longer body and a 2.7-inch longer wheelbase, offering more space and comfort for passengers.
Hyundai introduces its first-ever Palisade XRT PRO model, designed for enhanced off-road capabilities. The SUV is equipped with advanced technological features such as Relaxation seating, Digital Key 2.0, and Hyundai Pay, alongside safety improvements like a built-in dual-camera Dash Cam, ten airbags, and third-row seatbelt pre-tensioners.
The Palisade's new design embodies a bold and premium SUV aesthetic, characterized by a commanding stance with vertical LED daytime running lights and active airflow shutters. The interior is equally sophisticated, with luxurious materials and a horizontal dashboard layout.
The 2026 Palisade will be manufactured in Ulsan, South Korea, with the internal combustion models expected to reach dealers by early summer, while hybrid models are slated for a fall release.
