AMD Faces New Export License Requirements for MI308 Product

AMD has announced that it has completed an initial assessment of the new export license requirements imposed by the U.S. government on its MI308 product. The company plans to apply for the necessary licenses but cannot guarantee approval. AMD anticipates that costs related to inventory, procurement commitments, and associated reserves could reach up to $800 million.
