Fortinet (FTNT), a global leader in cybersecurity, has unveiled its 2024 Sustainability Report, showcasing advancements in both cybersecurity training and environmental sustainability. Since 2022, the company has trained more than 630,000 individuals in cybersecurity, with a goal to reach 1 million by 2026.

The report highlights the introduction of energy-efficient FortiGate models, achieving a 61% increase in energy efficiency compared to previous models. Additionally, Fortinet has implemented 22 FSC-certified packaging models, with plastic-free packaging now used across 86 top-selling products. These initiatives have resulted in the avoidance of 387 metric tons of CO2 emissions, including a reduction of 77 metric tons of plastic use.

In the realm of cybersecurity, Fortinet has been instrumental in combating cybercrime. Its efforts in 2024 alone contributed to the arrest of over 1,000 individuals and the dismantling of more than 134,000 malicious networks, recovering $44 million USD in the process.

Fortinet's sustainability and ethical business practices have not gone unrecognized. The company was included in the 2024 Dow Jones World and North America Indices, improved its CDP Climate Change rating from B- to B, and was ranked as the 7th most trusted company in America for 2025 by Forbes.

Fortinet remains committed to reducing its environmental impact and closing the cybersecurity skills gap, as evidenced by its ongoing training initiatives and participation in the European Commission’s Cybersecurity Skills Academy, where it aims to train 75,000 people within the EU by 2027.
