Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) has announced a strategic investment in Scout AI through Booz Allen Ventures, its corporate venture capital arm. Scout AI specializes in developing physical artificial intelligence systems powered by FURY, a Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model specifically designed for defense purposes. This technology enhances the capabilities of unmanned systems and robotics by enabling them to be controlled using human language prompts. The technology currently applies to ground and air warfighting domains, with plans for expansion into maritime and space sectors.

This marks the 14th investment from Booz Allen Ventures' $100 million fund, focusing on modernizing defense robotics and autonomous systems. The investment is strategically aligned with the Department of Defense's priorities, aiming to transform existing military systems and improve human-machine teaming while achieving cost savings.

Colby Adcock, CEO of Scout AI, stated, "Our goal is to enable robotic mass for the U.S. military through intelligent AI and cost-effective, high-rate manufactured hardware." By integrating advanced AI, Scout AI is paving the way for more effective and real-time decision-making in complex environments, ultimately enhancing Booz Allen's position in the defense technology market.
