PTC (PTC) has announced the introduction of two groundbreaking features to its Onshape platform: the Onshape AI Advisor and Onshape Government. The Onshape AI Advisor, built on Amazon Bedrock, delivers AI-powered support for computer-aided design (CAD) workflows and product data management (PDM) best practices. This tool is designed to aid teams in optimizing designs and enhancing efficiency, thereby reducing the learning curve and expediting the transition from traditional CAD systems.

Onshape Government is a specialized solution hosted on AWS GovCloud (U.S.), specifically tailored to meet the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This strategic move opens up new opportunities for aerospace and defense companies that require compliant cloud-native CAD and PDM solutions, enabling them to maintain regulatory standards and benefit from real-time collaboration and advanced version control.

The Onshape platform, known for its cloud-native capabilities, continues to gain traction across various industries. Esteemed clients such as Trek Bikes, Garmin, and AURA AERO utilize Onshape for their product development needs.
