Oracle Corporation (ORCL, Financial) has been awarded a firm-fixed price task order under the U.S. Department of Defense's Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability (JWCC) contract. This expansion will see Oracle providing the U.S. Army's Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA) with cloud compute and storage services. The services will be delivered through the Oracle U.S. Defense Cloud, addressing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Impact Levels 2, 4, 5, and 6.

This new task order is part of the DoD’s largest competitive JWCC award in 2024 and is designed to enhance ECMA’s mission of providing a secure, multicloud ecosystem that supports the Army Digital Transformation Strategy (ADTS). Oracle Defense Cloud offers secure and isolated cloud environments that meet rigorous regulatory and security standards, ensuring the highest levels of security and resilience while maintaining global pricing consistency. The infrastructure is tailored specifically for government and defense workloads, enabling the Army to modernize cost-effectively while achieving digital transformation goals.

Oracle utilizes specialized hardware and software solutions like Oracle Exadata, Real Application Clusters (RAC), and Oracle Autonomous Database. These solutions incorporate advanced data analytics and AI/ML capabilities, meeting the Department of Defense’s complex requirements and easing the migration of existing on-premises systems.
