Duverdier, who currently serves as the Managing Director of HEINEKEN México, will replace Roland Pirmez who is retiring after a distinguished 29-year career with the company.
Duverdier brings with him a wealth of experience from his 25-year tenure at HEINEKEN, having held leadership roles in diverse markets including Tunisia, Egypt, Poland, Spain, and Mexico. At HEINEKEN México, he has led the company in achieving substantial financial growth. His initiatives have seen the expansion of the Six retail chain to 17,000 stores and the launch of the Meoqui Can Factory, which aligns with HEINEKEN's vertical integration strategy.
Under the leadership of Roland Pirmez, the Africa Middle East region enjoyed consistent market share gains and successful acquisitions, such as Distell and Namibia Breweries, creating Heineken Beverages in Southern Africa. Pirmez's strategic expertise has greatly contributed to HEINEKEN's global success, with notable improvements in customer satisfaction through digital initiatives.
HEINEKEN CEO Dolf van den Brink expressed his gratitude for Pirmez's contributions and is confident in Duverdier's capability to drive further growth and success in the Africa Middle East region.
