United Airlines (UAL) has entered into a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the Golden State Valkyries, the WNBA's first expansion team since 2008, becoming their founding partner and official airline. This collaboration includes digital signage at the Chase Center, a social media content series, and various community initiatives such as "Connecting Communities" and "Soar with Her" mentorship programs. These efforts aim to promote women's sports and support youth sports programs in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As part of the partnership, MileagePlus members will have exclusive access to unique experiences, including suite opportunities and behind-the-scenes access to the Valkyries' inaugural game on May 16th, 2025. Notable players on the team include Kate Martin, Kayla Thornton, and Tiffany Hayes.

United Airlines, recognized as the world's largest airline, plans to enhance its operations at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) by offering nearly 300 daily flights to 100 destinations this summer. The carrier, aiming to support its expanded operations, has hired 1,600 new team members in 2024 and expects to recruit an additional 1,200 employees in 2025.

This sponsorship marks United's third major partnership with a professional sports franchise in San Francisco, following its ongoing collaborations with the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco 49ers. United Airlines continues to strengthen its presence and community engagement within the Bay Area.
