Good morning and thank you for joining us for our preliminary results presentation. As usual, I am here in Welwyn with Imran. I am really pleased to present another strong set of results which have been made possible by our 340,000 colleagues, who passionately serve our customers every day.
So I'd like to start by saying a huge thank you to each and every one of them. Together, we have made significant progress on our strategic priorities and continued to invest in value, quality and service, which further strengthened our customer offer.
While some consumers have seen real wage growth, many household budgets are still under pressure. Although the effects of recent global economic events are still to play out in terms of the direct impact on UK households, the level of uncertainty has clearly increased.
