National CineMedia (NASDAQ: NCMI), the largest cinema advertising platform in the US, has announced the winners of the 2025 US Young Lions competition. This year saw a significant rise in engagement, with over 500 teams registering and 359 competition entries, marking a nearly 10% increase from 2024.

The five winning teams, who excelled in the Digital, Film, Media, PR, and Print categories, will have the honor of representing TEAM USA at the global Young Lions competition during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place from June 16-20, 2025, in Cannes, France.

This year's competition also debuted new award categories, including the Young Lions Titanium Award, sponsored by StrawberryFrog, and the Bold Impact Award, sponsored by OMD USA. The Bold Impact Award focused on a campaign for youth fentanyl awareness and naloxone education, demonstrating the competition's real-world impact.

NCM's in-house Noovie® Studios will produce a 60-second vignette highlighting the winners—a feature to be exhibited across the company's theater network nationwide throughout June. This exposure will honor the creativity and talent of the winners before they take the stage in Cannes.

Moreover, NCM will host a TEAM USA Welcome Reception at the Cannes Lions Festival, providing a platform for these young creatives to engage with industry leaders and showcase their innovative ideas. The company's collaboration with WhyHunger, a nonprofit organization addressing food justice and poverty, provided a meaningful business challenge for participants, aligning creative efforts with social impact.
