Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC, Financial) has announced the appointment of Kathleen McCarthy as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 12, 2025. McCarthy will report directly to CEO Toni Townes-Whitley and will oversee human resources initiatives, employee engagement strategies, and talent acquisition operations at SAIC (SAIC).
Joining from GE Aerospace, where she served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Defense & Systems business, McCarthy's impressive career also includes leadership roles at GE Aviation and GE Digital. At GE Digital, she played a pivotal role in the company's profitability and was instrumental in shaping its vision for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
McCarthy also held executive positions at American Express as Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer, and at Thomson Reuters, where she led talent management and acquisition. Her career began at Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company, and she has served in leading HR roles at tech startup eFinanceWorks.
Recognized as an industry leader, McCarthy is part of World 50, G100, and The Learning Forum's Executive Council Network, and has been involved with the advisory board for CEB Talent Management. Her experience and insights are expected to be invaluable for SAIC as the company continues to evolve its workforce strategy to meet industry demands.
