General Motors Boosts Production at Indiana Plant

General Motors (GM, Financial) is ramping up production at its Fort Wayne assembly plant in Indiana, focusing on increasing the output of light trucks. The plant manager, Dennys Pimenta, communicated to employees via webcast that the company might also extend overtime hours. This strategic move is expected to boost local employment by hiring several hundred temporary workers.
