The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has announced plans to increase the country's daily oil production to over 6 million barrels by 2029. This ambitious target is set to be achieved through extensive oil exploration and drilling activities across Iraq.
Deputy Minister Bassem Mohamed Khodeir highlighted a recent agreement with oil giant BP (BP.L) to redevelop four oil and gas fields in Kirkuk as part of this strategy. Currently, Iraq's oil production stands at approximately 4 million barrels per day.
