Nvidia (NVDA, Financial) set the stage at its annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Jose, California, where semiconductor giant Nvidia showcased new developments, though J.P. Morgan analysts do not expect a major shift in artificial intelligence stock sentiment.

The event, running March 17 to March 21, featured keynote remarks by CEO Jensen Huang on March 18. While investor focus on AI stocks remains steady, several Nvidia suppliers may benefit from deeper technical insights.

J.P. Morgan analysts pointed to companies such as Amphenol (APH, Financial), which could gain if Nvidia offers added reassurance regarding passive copper content. In addition, optical transceiver players like Fabrinet (FN, Financial), Lumentum (LITE, Financial) and Coherent (COHR, Financial) stand to benefit if Nvidia intensifies its focus on co-package optics.

Analysts noted that while expanding co-package optics for scale-out networking might moderate certain volume opportunities for transceiver companies, offering both traditional and optical solutions for Infiniband and Ethernet switches should reassure investors of a stable, diversified supplier base.

Investors remain alert as Nvidia decisively shapes future semiconductor trends.
