Intel's CEO Appointment Boosts Asian Supplier Stocks

Intel's (INTC, Financial) recent appointment of Chen Liwu as the next CEO has led to a significant surge in the company's stock during after-hours trading. This announcement has also positively impacted the stock prices of several of Intel's Asian suppliers.

In Japan, Ibiden experienced a notable increase of 9.6%, marking its largest rise since November 5. Other Japanese suppliers also saw gains, with Disco rising by 6.3%, Screen by 3.1%, Lasertec by 2.8%, and Tokyo Electron by 2.3%.

Similarly, in South Korea, suppliers benefited from the news. TSE's stock rose by 4.9%, Wonik QnC by 3.9%, SK Hynix by 2.8%, DB HiTek by 2.8%, and ISC by 2.6%.
