According to sources, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has proposed that Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom invest in a joint venture to operate an Intel factory. Under this proposal, TSMC would manage Intel's wafer division but would hold less than a 50% stake. Qualcomm was also approached with a similar proposal.
Any final agreement would require approval from the U.S. government. All companies involved, including Intel, TSMC, Nvidia, AMD, and Qualcomm, have declined to comment on the matter.
