The team is led by a former core member of Baidu's (BIDU) advertising system. This individual, who had a multimillion-dollar annual salary at Baidu, has been offered a significantly higher compensation package at Pinduoduo.
Last year, Pinduoduo began recruiting employees from Baidu to advance its large model projects. The current applications of Pinduoduo's AI models include price comparison systems, recommendations, advertising, search, and customer service. Each sub-team within the organization competes to deliver the best outcomes, with earnings directly linked to competitive results among these teams.
