Firefly Neuroscience (AIFF, Financials) joined Nvidia's (NVDA, Financials) NVIDIA Connect program, gaining access to technical resources and development tools aimed at enhancing its Brain Network Analytics technology, the company announced Tuesday.
Firefly said the initiative offers technical assistance, software development kits, and savings on NVIDIA's hardware and software, therefore enabling faster research and product development. Using its FDA-cleared BNA platform, the business intends to assist its strategic aim of creating a foundation model of the human brain by means of these resources.
Firefly claims that program participation represents a major turning point in its expansion. The business said that access to NVIDIA's superior technologies and growing BNA database help to support its position in neurological research.
Firefly creates artificial intelligence-driven methods based on electroencephalogram data for brain activity analysis. The business claimed that its technologies provide information that would help doctors identify mental and neurological diseases like depression, dementia, anxiety disorders, concussions, and ADHD.
The business also said it has assembled a database including around 17,000 standardized EEGs spanning 12 diseases and clinically normal individuals. Targeting pharmaceutical companies doing drug research and clinical trials as well as medical professionals, Firefly is starting its BNA system commercially.
Financial specifics of Firefly's involvement in the NVIDIA Connect initiative were not revealed.
