A Boeing executive announced at an aerospace conference in Seattle that Spirit AeroSystems, a key supplier, has a substantial inventory of 737 aircraft bodies ready for delivery. Boeing is focused on increasing the production rate of its 737 MAX jets to at least 38 units per month. This comes after a significant production cut in 2024 due to concerns over panel cracking incidents.

Ihssane Mounir, Boeing's Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing, noted improvements in the quality of fuselages produced by Spirit Aero. Additionally, an informed source revealed that Spirit AeroSystems has ramped up its fuselage production from 21 to 31 units per month.
