S&P 500 Hits Record High with Notable Gains from AVGO and SMCI

The S&P 500 index reached a new all-time high of 6128.18 points, registering a slight increase of 0.08%. Several component stocks contributed to this upward momentum with significant gains. Broadcom (AVGO) saw its shares rise over 3%, while United Continental Holdings (UAL) experienced an increase of more than 2.4%. Super Micro Computer (SMCI, Financial) also recorded a notable gain, climbing over 3.3%. Additionally, Palantir (PLTR) advanced by more than 2.6%.
