Apple's (AAPL) iPhone 16 Achieves Lowest Global Price with New Subsidy

According to recent reports, China's national subsidy program for mobile phones has become available, impacting key Apple (AAPL, Financial) models like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16. Consumers are able to purchase the iPhone 16 with 256GB of storage for 5,499 yuan, marking it as the cheapest globally compared to other markets. This development positions the iPhone 16 as one of Apple's most appealing offerings.

Additionally, online users have noticed that the 128GB version of the iPhone 13 is now priced at only 2,999 yuan, setting a record low. With the implementation of these subsidies, projections indicate that China's domestic mobile phone sales could reach 300 million units this year.
