NVIDIA (NVDA, Financial) has submitted a filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stating that its business operations and product sales in China are not expected to be impacted by the new U.S. restrictions on semiconductor exports to China. The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) recently revised the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), mandating additional due diligence procedures for advanced computing integrated circuits (ICs). Additionally, a list of approved IC design entities was released, whose designed chips will not face extra restrictions.

In its filing, NVIDIA indicated that it is not subject to these additional due diligence requirements as it already qualifies as an approved IC design entity. This development suggests that NVIDIA's current operations and strategic plans in China can proceed without significant regulatory hindrance, potentially maintaining their competitive edge in the market.
