OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman recently hinted on the X platform about the upcoming release of a new AI model, GPT-o3. In his cryptic message, Altman used repeated letters "o" and "h," suggesting that the new model could be unveiled soon. OpenAI is working on this next-generation reasoning model, which aims to enhance the depth of user inquiries. The naming of this model might skip "o2" to avoid trademark issues with the UK telecom operator O2, opting for "o3" instead.

The release is part of the "12 Days of OpenAI" event, which is nearing its conclusion. Previously, OpenAI introduced the fully-featured o1 model along with its API. The company also made advancements in function calling, structured output, reasoning effort control, developer messaging, and visual input capabilities.
