Globalstar (GSAT) Surges on Apple's Satellite Communication Plans for Watches

Globalstar (GSAT, Financial) shares rose over 3% in pre-market trading, reaching $2.36. The increase follows news that Apple plans to integrate satellite communication features into its smartwatches by 2025. The tech giant is also working on developing blood pressure monitoring capabilities to attract hikers and health-conscious consumers to upgrade their devices. According to insiders, the Apple Watch Ultra, a high-end product line, will include satellite communication capabilities next year. This technology will allow smartwatch users to send off-grid messages via Globalstar's satellite network when cellular or Wi-Fi connections are unavailable.
