Reports indicate that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM, Financial) is negotiating with NVIDIA (NVDA) to produce Blackwell AI chips at TSMC's new Arizona facility. Preparations for production are underway, expected to start early next year. The Blackwell AI chip was introduced in March and continues to be in high demand for AI and accelerated computing tasks, offering performance that's 30 times faster in certain applications. If finalized, this deal would add NVIDIA as a customer to the Arizona plant, which is set to begin mass production in 2025. Currently, Apple (AAPL) and AMD are existing clients. The agreement is seen as part of a broader investment strategy in the region.
