Citi has announced that Kate Moore, a portfolio manager from BlackRock, will join its wealth division as Chief Investment Officer. According to an internal memo, Moore will begin her role in February next year. Previously, she was the Head of Thematic Strategy for BlackRock's $50 billion Global Allocation business.
Moore is recognized as a respected thought leader in the industry, with expertise ranging from asset allocation to thematic investing and equity research. Andy Sieg, head of Citi's wealth division, highlighted her qualifications in the memo.
In her new role, Moore will oversee the Chief Investment Office, the Global Investment Committee, and the sustainable investing team within the division. Steven Wieting, who has been serving as the interim Chief Investment Officer for the past six months, will continue in his role as Chief Investment Strategist and Economist for the business.
