Dycom Industries, Inc. (DY) announced a third quarter loss of $3.1 million or $0.08 a share compared to an income of $5.6 million or $0.14 a share from January 2007. The telecommunications contractor faced less business for the last two quarters and a $10 million lawsuit settlement in January.

Inpatient behavioral health care provider Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSYS) made plans to purchase five inpatient facilities in Florida and Kentucky; the company expects the acquisition to raise its 2008 revenue to $68 million. PSYS increased their fourth quarter profits increased by 32% to $23.2 million or $0.42 a share. The company’s annual earnings was also up by 25% at $76.2 million, or $1.37.


George Soros bought shares of PSYS in the previous quarter; he currently owns 79,987 shares.


Chairman, President & CEO Joey A. Jacobs bought 30,000 shares on 3/06/08 at $31.10; however, CEO Jacobs has sold a total of 345,484 shares since October at around $40. a share.
