The chairman and chief executive of discount stock brokerage Charles Schwab Corp. sold 900,000 shares of common stock, according to a SEC filing. In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Monday, Charles R. Schwab reported he sold the shares Monday for $19.12 to $19.66 apiece.


The Charles Schwab Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides securities brokerage, banking, and related financial services to individual and institutional investors primarily in the United States.


Over the past 3 months, Charles R. Schwab sold more than 6 million shares. He still owns more than 151 million shares of SCHW. SCHW closed at $19.39 today, this puts his shares at the value of about $3 billion.


Schwab COO and CIO also sold shares during the past weeks. Schwab’s COO Charles G. Goldman Gideon Sasson sold more than 1325 shares and its CIO sold 30,000 shares.
