Through a variety of brands, including HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros, the company produces and distributes a wide array of entertainment and media products. On October 22, 2016, AT&T agreed to acquire Time Warner Inc. for $53.75 cash plus $53.75 worth of AT&T stock, subject to a collar. The deal requires both shareholder and regulatory approvals, and values Time Warner at $108.7 billion. The transaction should close prior to year end 2017.
