Yacktman Funds Report Acuisitions of Oracle, Procter & Gamble, Fox

Two of the world’s fastest-growing stock funds – the Yacktman Fund (Trades, Portfolio) and the Yacktman Focused Fund (Trades, Portfolio) – both led by Austin, Texas-based guru Donald Yacktman (Trades, Portfolio), have added holdings in Oracle (ORCL, Financial), Procter & Gamble (PG, Financial) and Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX, Financial). The Focused Fund also added holdings in Samsung Electronics.

As percentage increases of already existing holdings in their portfolios, two of the funds’ moves were almost mirror images of each other. According to statements filed on Sept. 30, the Yacktman Fund increased its holdings in Oracle by nearly 10%. The Focused Fund boosted its stake in Oracle by 6.7%.

The Focused Fund added 4% to its holdings in Procter & Gamble. The Yacktman Fund (Trades, Portfolio)’s stake went up by a little less than 3.2%.

In the third acquisition, the Focused Fund hiked its holdings in Twenty-First Century Fox by more than 42%. The Yacktman Fund (Trades, Portfolio) invested in an additional 13% in Fox.

The Yacktman Focused Fund (Trades, Portfolio) also added nearly 6% to its stake in Samsung.

Both funds reduced their holdings in Microsoft (MSFT, Financial), Clorox (CLX, Financial), PepsiCo (PEP, Financial) and Coca-Cola (KO, Financial). 03May20171329501493836190.png
